Repairing Torn Roof Felt

I havent yet been up in the attic when it is raining so i do not know if there is a leak. Where wind driven rain is working under the roof and causing leaks then the felt will need to be replaced. In two sections the roofing felt has been cut or torn. You can fix tears in your roofing felt by putting a patch of new felt underneath.

Many roofs function quite well without any roofing felt so small tears and damage to roofing felt are not in themselves reasons to spend money on repairing it.
